Outwit ("we", "us", or "our") is a gaming platform where you can play a collection of games, join competitions, and compete on leaderboards. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Outwit, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Playing as a guest

You can play Outwit without creating an account. In guest mode we do not ask for any personal information such as your name, phone number, or email address. We create a guest profile so your session works, but it is not linked to your identity.

Creating an account

If you choose to save your progress, you can sign in with your phone number, which we verify by sending a one-time password (OTP) via SMS. Your phone number is the only personal information we ask for when you create your profile. You may also choose a username, which is visible to other players on leaderboards and in games.

Information collected while you play

• Gameplay data — your scores, game history, leaderboard rankings, competition entries and results, and in-app virtual currency balance.
• Device and usage data — basic technical information and in-app events (such as which games you open and play) that help us understand how the platform is used and improve it.
• Push notification token — if you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can send them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and secure your account, and to verify your phone number via OTP.
• To save your game progress, scores, and virtual currency across devices.
• To run leaderboards, competitions, and multiplayer matches.
• To send you notifications you have opted in to receive.
• To understand usage, fix problems, and improve our games and platform.
• To detect and prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your phone number for marketing without your consent.

4. Sharing of Information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform — for example, SMS providers that deliver your OTP, push notification services, hosting providers, and analytics tools. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Outwit and its users.

5. Guest Accounts and Upgrading

Progress made in guest mode is tied to your device. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, guest progress may be lost. You can keep your progress at any time by verifying your phone number, which converts your guest profile into a full account.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you request deletion, your account is deactivated immediately and your personal information (including your phone number) is permanently removed after a short grace period, which exists so you can recover your account if you change your mind. Some non-personal records, such as anonymized gameplay statistics, may be retained.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

8. Children

Outwit is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
